Memivo

Keep your knowledge alive

I read constantly and forget most of it within a week. Memivo automates the one habit that actually fixes that. Converts PDFs and web pages into spaced-repetition flashcards using Groq's Llama 3.3. Cards are generated per text chunk — not per document — to keep them grounded, with SM-2 scheduling and an XP/level system to make reviewing stick.

QuietMetrics

GitHub stats, rendered with restraint

My GitHub stats were scattered across tabs and graphs I never trusted. QuietMetrics is the one page I actually wanted. A full-stack developer dashboard that connects to the GitHub API and surfaces repository metrics, language breakdowns, star counts, and profile stats — all secured behind JWT auth with httpOnly cookies.

  • GitHub OAuth flow — connect your account in one click, no manual tokens
  • Live updates pushed over Socket.IO — stats refresh without polling
  • Repository list with language distribution, stars, and fork counts
  • JWT stored in httpOnly cookies — no localStorage token exposure

Sapling

The hardest part of any task is starting

Most to-do apps hand me a wall of tasks, and that's exactly what makes me freeze. Sapling picks one and breaks it down before I can avoid it. An ADHD-friendly focus app that breaks overwhelming tasks into 3–6 tiny, immediately actionable steps using AI. Every design decision — palette, spacing, animation speed — is tuned to reduce cognitive load, not increase it.

  • AI task breakdown via Groq — each step capped at 15 minutes
  • Focus Mode with a 4-7-8 breathing ring and distraction-free fullscreen
  • Mood-adaptive design: colours desaturate, spacing widens when you're overwhelmed
  • Drag-and-drop task reordering with optimistic Supabase persistence

I'm Albert — a developer based in Germany. I started in UX/UI design, then retrained as a developer because I wanted to build the things I was designing, not just hand them off.

I've shipped QuietMetrics, Memivo, and Sapling — my first three real projects. What I have now is the confidence that comes from finishing, the patience to read documentation, and a growing sense of what it means to build software people actually use.

I'm looking for my first professional role — a team that ships honest software, takes craft seriously, and doesn't mind teaching.

2026 — Now

Shipped three products

QuietMetrics, Memivo, and Sapling are live — my first real projects, built end to end. Refining all three, gathering feedback, and looking for my first developer role.

2025

Full-stack fluency

Comfortable building full-stack web apps end to end: auth, persistence, deploys. Learned most of it by building real things, not by following tutorials.

2024

Began retraining as a developer

Started a full-time software development retraining program — the real beginning of writing code every day, with structure behind it instead of scattered tutorials.

2022

UX/UI certificate

Earned a UX/UI design certificate. The eye for layout, spacing, and interaction it gave me still shows up in everything I build.
